Vancrest was founded in 1960 by Dr. E. E. White when he opened one of Ohio’s first Geriatric Hospitals in the former Van Wert County Hospital. His mission was to deliver high quality patient centered care to the rapidly aging population. His vision carries on today and is embraced in our mission statement C.A.R.E. – Customer Focused, Attitude, Responsibility and Empathy. Vancrest remains family-owned, led by Dr. White’s son Mark White.

We are a regional full service senior health care provider operating in western Ohio. Whether you need customized long-term care support or just a little help with every day task, Vancrest has something for everyone. With it’s 11 skilled/long term care facilities along with 9 assisted living facilities we will compassionately and safely meet all of your care needs. We serve over 800 nursing home residents and have an additional 300 assisted living apartments. We provide a seamless continuum of care by utilizing our integrated affiliates. Therapy Solutions provides therapy (Physical, Occupational and Speech) in our facilities as well as in the home. Fountain Park Home Care provides personalized one on one care in the comfort of your home.
